Nominee’s Bio: My name is Roger Haenke. I currently have the honor of serving as the Rector of St. John's Episcopal Church in Chula Vista. Prior to this, I served as Curate and Interim Vicar of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Carlsbad.

I have a second vocation as a Registered Nurse. As part of my bi-vocational ministry, I am teaching Nursing at San Diego State University.

My diocesan leadership experience includes serving as member of Executive Council including being a member of the Area One Evangelization and Discipleship Committee. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, I also have served on the bishop's Public Health Taskforce advisory committee.

Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: I would bring to this position as General Convention delegate my sense of leadership with an open mind, the wisdom of collaboration, and a desire to serve the broader Episcopal Church.
