Richard Hogue

St. Paul’s Cathedral

Nominee’s Bio: I grew up in rural Wisconsin (Diocese of Eau Claire) and graduated from Wabash College in 2009. I've served as an Episcopal missionary in South Africa, in the Episcopal Service Corps (Diocese of Newark), as a missioner (Jersey City, NJ), associate rector (Encinitas, CA), vicar (Harrison, NJ & Carlsbad/Oceanside, CA), and now Canon for Congregational Life (St. Paul's Cathedral).

Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: I understand the circumstances of a vast array of churches from rural and urban missions to flagship congregations from seven years of priesthood. My prior lay ministry experience also allowed me to be a multi-time deputy at General Convention (Diocese of Eau Claire) and missionary in South Africa. I believe my broad experience, leadership, collaborative spirit, and proven track record makes me a great candidate to help navigate the challenges and opportunities the diocese faces as it relates to our governance and common life.
