All Saints’, Vista
Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: I had been a member of All Saints’ Vista for just over a year when significant changes began unfolding—a new interim minister, a new bishop, and the onset of a pandemic. I was invited to join Vestry as Clerk and agreed, sensing an opportunity to help build a hopeful future. My four-year journey on Vestry, including two years as Senior Warden, was a time of growth and renewal. Working with our Priest-in-Charge and Vestry, our shared vision was to uplift and revitalize our beloved church, parish hall, and grounds, hoping to make the “Jewel of Vista” shine once again and attract more visitors. During this time, I also helped create and lead a virtual weekly spiritual formation class and collaborated with our music director to establish a monthly contemplative Celtic Evensong service.
I’ve worked alongside the Clergy, Vestry, and the Diocese to ensure All Saints and the Congregation stay on track with its goals and what it means to be a Christian. We’ve worshipped, worked, celebrated, and even cried together. I have seen God working in our midst and continue to feel his blessings. The journey has been marked by collaboration and the unwavering spirit that defines our faith. All this guides me as I step toward new horizons, committed to the values of love, compassion, and inclusivity that inspire me.
