Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: I have had a life-long love for the Episcopal Church and am proud to be a member. I love God, I have an imagination and I’m willing to be bold. Our church has a fine reputation for its beliefs, its laity, its clergy, its liturgy, and its commitment to respecting the dignity of every human being. I would like to share my gifts and experience here in the Diocese of San Diego. I’m familiar with the Church at the parish and regional level and with most diocesan ministries. After retirement, I was a consultant for the church-wide offices of the Episcopal Church in New York. I’m in church every Sunday and I also know the way the “wideness of God’s mercy” works in the church. I’m especially interested in the work of the Standing Committee, and I would very much like to serve in this important ministry in and for the Diocese of San Diego.
