Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: I strongly believe the local church’s mission is closely intertwined with the diocesan one. Serving in a diocesan committee is both a privilege and a responsibility that enables you to have a clearer vision of the Jesus’ mission for today’s church. As an Episcopal priest in Cuba I served in different diocesan committees, including the Executive Council, and I also taught some subjects both for the Seminary and the Diocesan School for Lay Ministers. At the Diocese of San Diego, I have recently served as chaplain for the Bishop’s Nominating Committee.
